Rivers of Living Water

John 7:2 Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. John 7:37-39 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Out of the believer’s heart will flow “rivers of living water”. That’s the Holy Spirit! 🙂 But they did not receive Him yet, because Jesus was not yet glorified. To think we have Jesus’ Spirit dwelling in our hearts! That is absolutely wonderful to think of, isn’t it?! 😀 You have the Spirit of the Creator of the Universe dwelling in you when you believe in His Son Jesus and repent of your sins! What an absolutely great love our Creator has for us. He could have just condemned us all to eternal damnation. We surely deserve it, with all our sins.

But no, He cares about us, His creatures, His children. GOD is LOVE. So should we be when we have His Holy Spirit, full of love for others, even our enemies as Jesus commanded us in Matt 5:44-48 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Thanks for reading 🙂 God bless you in Jesus’ Holy Name.
